Introduction of Computer Science Grade 5

The main objective of computer science grade 5 is to make them understand about the computer and its application in the society. The computer play an important role as everyone knows but the computer technical terms, applications, how computer works, what is the history of computer, what is computer hardware and how does it works are the main topics for this grade 5. The computer word is quite common but the theoretical and the practical part of the computer is unknown by many people. So the main goal of this chapter is to make them understand about all the necessary concepts related with computer.

In grade 5 computer is required to teach them about the introduction part as well as application part of the computer. Chapter 1: Introduction to Computer

Many people knows that a Computer is a versatile machine that can perform its all activities with the help of software. Yes it's true and this introduction is not enough for the students to tell them what is computer. In this chapter students will learn about the input, output and process and the real definition of computer.

Chapter 2: History of Computer

As we know that any device and its evolution phase exists. In this chapter students will learn about the history of the computer such as the historical devices and according to the time and technology what types of devices were there in the past. How computer are looks like in the past and what type of calculations did they performed? The answers of these questions are explained in this chapter. 

Chapter 3: Input Devices

In this chapter students will get the knowledge about the knowledge of input devices, their types, their working methods. The devices by which a user can interact with computer is called input device. These devices are makes us active to enter our data into the computer. There are many types input devices such as keyboard, mouse, joystick, scanner, touch screen, digitizer etc. All the types of input devices are explained in this chapter.

Chapter 4: Output Devices

When we are talking about output it means the result or outcome which we are getting through computer. There are many devices through which we can get output. Monitor and printer are the most common used output devices. Here students will get the information about the output devices such as softcopy output devices such as monitor and speaker and hardcopy output devices such as printer and their types and plotter and their types.

Chapter 5: Memory Devices

Memory means the part of computer where data and information's are  stored. Human being also have a memory system in the same computer has its memory devices where data is stored. In this chapter students will get the information about the devices that are used to store the data and information such as Primary memory and Secondary memory and its types.

Chapter 6: Computer Software

Computer is an electronic device that can work with the help of software. Software is the collection of programs that will make our computer in work. This chapter includes all about the software definition, their types like system and application software. This chapter describes more about the system software and their types like operating system, utility software etc. It also share the information about eh application software and its types such as package and tailored software.

Chapter 7: Computer Virus

Computer virus is a program created by the programmers in order to disturb the normal functioning of the computer. Here in this chapter students will get the knowledge about the virus, their types, how virus infected out computers and how we can protect our computer from the virus.

Chapter 8: Network and Internet

Computer Network is the interconnection of many computers in order to share data and information. Internet is the global network in which all the computers are connected through satellite. In this chapter students will get the idea about what is computer network, how the computers are connected with each other, types of computer network, advantages and disadvantages of computer network and all about the internet.
